Apprenticeships are back!

23/03/2015

Apprenticeships are back with record numbers of apprentice positions being created across all business sectors.

Finally the skills shortage has been acknowledged and it's not just the large first taking part but small companies are doing their bit to support the local youth employment figures.

Recent years have seen emphasis on university placements but many students find that the jobs are no longer available once they do graduate.

The return of apprenticeships is fantastic news for the economy as a whole and will hopefully see the end to the skills shortages that we have faced over recent years as school leavers now have more options.

National Apprenticeship Week 2015 ran from 9 to 13 March, celebrating apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy. Events were held all around the country and thousands of apprenticeship vacancies were pledged.
